Bikes Against Bullies 2014 Fundraiser

Every year my family throws a fundraiser to benefit The Amanda Todd Legacy Society

Amanda is from our neighbourhood and we cherish her family and want to support all their efforts to spread awareness and open public conversation regarding bullying and mental health issues

This year was an incredible success!

We doubled participation in just our second year, BAM!!! take that

This was quite the learning curve for us as we added a second location and a ride.  We've already hashed out better ways to do things next year

We can not thank everyone involved enough, The Todd Family, Trev Deeley Motorcycles, The cities o:f: Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Burnaby and Vancouver + all the volunteers and donors, you are the glue baby

The ride began at the Port Coquitlam Recreation Complex and ended at Trev Deeley Motorcycles for continued festivities

T and T are the lead bike for 125+

Night at Vancouver Theatre Sports

Theatre Sports, just what the Dr. ordered.  If someone hasn't pee'd their pants, they haven't done their job!!!!  Laughter, food for the soul

Doesn't hurt that their new location is Granville Island on the waterfront, could not think of a better place.  Honestly no matter where you look there is a great rustic piece of art or a quaint alleyway filled with wonderful treats and treasures.  The smells from the ocean really make me feel like I'm living the dream

I used to sail a lot and spent many a day and night in and around this place, used to work here as well. Whoa, talking ions ago, we won't get into how long that is but consider it feels like a million years

When we arrived there was a special envelope waiting for us with table seats, holy feeling special.  Your a great host dear Laura, thanking you

K-O.ME Rooftop Photoshoot

I was very excited to be invited to the K-O.ME, pronunciation: Kay-O-me, photo shoot today on top of the newly renovated Woodwards Building in downtown Vancouver

Wow, wow, wow, to everything involved.  From the absolutely stunning designs by the talented Founder of K-O.ME,  Kjaer Neletia Pedersen, to the spectacular rooftop views

Paul picked out a couple of designs to present to some very special guests he will host in LA shortly.  They will be tickled pink!

Gotta say, I was drooling

 

 The beautiful, smart, caring and generous Miss Earth Canada, Lavanya Hiremath,   Not just beauty for this girl, she has a degree in Economics an Interior Design Diploma AND Bachelors Degree ... I think she's an overachiever, right?

 

The Building Reno is stunning, there is iron work from the top to the bottom, just don't see that anywhere in the city, kudos

I was very glad to see they kept the original tile work at street level

JJ Bean, the coffee house downstairs had a lovely way of using west coast materials.  Who would have thought, this is just plank cedar with coloured florescent lights as chandelier type lighting

The outdoor seating in the ground level courtyard is simple yet creative

Great meeting so many new people in Bellingham today. It was a pleasure
